Overview:
As Luckbox expanded beyond esports betting, I undertook to define the product vision for a truly brand-aligned casino platform.
Facing commercial pressure to launch a casino vertical, a key risk was that the team would release an MVP based on the standard “template” casino interfaces common across the industry.
While fast to implement, these products can be difficult to evolve into differentiated experiences post-launch.

Casino platforms typically contain thousands of games from multiple providers, often resulting in interfaces dominated by large game grids and minimal discovery tools. This makes it difficult for players to quickly find games they enjoy.
At the same time, the team needed to move quickly to launch a new revenue vertical, which meant working within tight timelines and third-party platform constraints.
The challenge was to balance speed to market with a more intentional product direction.
Casino v2.0 explored how the Luckbox casino could move beyond a traditional lobby model toward a more structured and discoverable experience.
The concept focused on:
• Motion-led interface, introducing subtle movement across the page to break from the static feel of many casinos
• Personalised player context, adapting to each user through tailored offers, recommendations, and contextual greetings
• Curated game discovery, prioritising quality and relevance so the catalogue feels focused rather than overwhelming
While Casino v2.0 established a long-term vision, the reality of the launch required a more pragmatic approach.
Tight timelines and technical constraints meant the team needed to prioritize a simplified first version of the casino experience.
Internally referred to as Casino "v0.1", the initial release focused on the core fundamentals required to bring the product to market, while the naming convention reinforced the idea that this was not just an isolated MVP - it was the first step to our final vision.
This version provided stable integration with casino game providers, a functional browsing experience, and reliable access to gameplay. While simpler than the vision concept, it created a solid foundation on which the product could evolve.

Although Casino 2.0 was not implemented directly, it played an important role in shaping the product’s evolution.
The concept provided a shared reference point for design and product decisions as the casino platform developed. Rather than treating each improvement as an isolated change, the team could evaluate new features against the broader vision for the experience.
This helped ensure that incremental improvements—such as enhancements to game discovery, browsing structure, and interaction patterns—moved the product steadily toward a more cohesive and refined casino experience.
• Defined long-term UX vision for casino experience
• Created Casino 2.0 concept framework and interaction model
• Designed exploration concepts for curation, personalisation, game discovery and browsing
• Presented the vision internally to product, engineering, and leadership
• Guided evolution from initial launch version 0.1 to long-term direction
